Yes. I'll admit it. I'm already checking my grades.
It doesn't matter that they don' t "post grades on weekends", or that it would be "physically impossible" for any of my professors to have graded "upwards of one hundred exams" by now. I'm still checking.
I check my grades when I wake up. I check my grades before I go to sleep at night. I check my grades during dinner. I'll have checked my grades three times before I finish this post. I've even checked my grades in the middle of checking my grades. Figure that one out.
But I'm not ashamed. Fifty bucks says that if you haven't already, you'll have checked your grades by the time you finish reading this. It's okay. Really. It's better that you just admit it to yourself, get it out in the open.
Because, in the end, it's all about that one shining instant. That glorious moment where you check your grades, and they're not up, but then something inside tells you that you should click Reload just one more time. So you do. And there they are.
And maybe they end up being a lot shittier than you hoped, and probably they mean you'll never ever get a job. Ever. But at least now you know. Now you can finally can stop clicking.
(Man...I wonder when they're going to post the booklists for next semester...)
