An Open Letter to Professor Leiter

Dear Professor Leiter Sir,

Thank you very much for linking to my blog the other day.  The resulting spike in traffic over here in BW&V Land was good for my fragile ego and was responsible for something like $4.37 in ad sales. I will probably use this money to buy a Starbucks Iced Venti Mocha, and when I drink it, I will think of you fondly.

But as wonderful as that mocha will be, and as much as the extra publicity means to me, I've been meaning to ask: Don't you think your time would be better spent on other stuff, like, say...GRADING OUR GODFORSAKEN JURISPRUDENCE EXAMS?

I'm thinking my world is a better place not knowing that grade. I know some people say uncertainty is often worse than failure, rejection etc., but i think those people have never been rejected or failed anything.

I don't know about this "bad mood" thesis. In a world where:

A) We're graded on a curve,

B) I wasn't entirely sure of what I was writing about, and

C) I turned my essay in fairly early,

It's at least conceivable that a long string of low grades toward the end of the grading could help me out.

Alternatively: Let the falcon grade them.
